Happy Valentine's Day

Love is not simply a thing. But for Brady, if love was an actual tangible item, it would be in the form of stuffed animals. In the 3 months since his life was turned upside down he has received countless "stuffies". Like the love surrounding him, they come in all forms. A stuffed sea cow reminds him of the love waiting for him at home in his manatee themed nursery. A little bright colored whale, just small enough to grasp in his hand on his own, a reminder of the Swampscott family he had just been getting to know. The med-flight teddy is a reminder of all the first responders who showed love in the form of immediate medical attention and the professionals that continue to care for him daily. A plethora of Patriots themed animals, a teasing but loving reminder from Brady to his mom that she has lost the war and, yes, people agree with Daddy, he must have been named after #12. A dinosaur, a giraffe, an elephant, puppies and of course bears... a veritable menagerie of soft furry love from his nearest and dearest all the way to friends of friends whose hearts have been touched by Brady's story.

This Valentine's Day as you celebrate by enjoying a fancy dinner, passing out little cartoon cards and candies or even if you boycott the holiday's commercialization altogether, know that Brady is celebrating your love... the love that helps his family make it over each new hurdle, the love that makes each day feel a little more hopeful, the love that looks an awful lot like a room full of cuddly stuffed animals.
