Brady is currently at Mass Eye and Ear having a procedure to tie off his four major salivary glands.

While it is not necessarily a serious surgery, it may have a big impact. It is possible that this is the solution that will allow Brady to be decannulated.

The hope of his medical team is that he will be able to manage his own secretions without a trach if he has less saliva to contend with. As his inpatient stay draws near to a close this procedure may be the determining factor whether or not Brady returns home with a trach.
